Survival Edge Tactical Systems was founded in 2006 by then full-time Police Officer Jared Wihongi in response to requests for his training services by a local Army Special Forces unit. Since then, and with the help of business partner Geoff Perrin, the company has grown to encompass multiple facets of tactical training, consulting and professional services.
Meet Jared
Jared is a full-time International Close-Quarters Combat (CQC) Instructor who has worked 25+ years as a police officer, police academy trainer, SWAT Operator. He was contracted as an Army Special Forces Combatives Instructor for over a decade, and has trained police instructors and Special Operations personnel across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In addition to these experiences, Jared has trained in multiple traditional martial arts for 40+ years. He holds multiple Black Belts to include a Grandmaster rank (Grand Tuhon) in the Filipino martial art of Pekiti Tirsia Kali.
